Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer Review

One of my favourite YouTubers, Tati, often talks about her love for the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. When I visited Florida in July, I knew that I needed to get it to see if it lived up to my high expectations. Today I have decided to share with you my thoughts about it. 

Firstly, I bought this bronzer for $11, however, it can be found for a range of different prices online. This isn’t available in UK stores but is easy to find online and get ordered. I picked up the bronzer in the shade ‘Light 7E03’ as there was only 3 shades to choose from and this looked best suited for me.

This bonzer has a very strong scent. Its so strong that I can smell it as soon as I open the makeup draw that it is in! This isn’t an awful thing though as it has a nice coconut-ish scent. However, once the product is applied to your face you can’t smell it so it doesn’t bother me.

The bronzer comes with a sponge applicator which confused me as normally you’d find a brush. I did try using this sponge applicator but it definitely didn’t work for me as it made the product so hard to blend. The sponge picks up way too much product and drags the bronzer across your face, it does not blend it at all. I much prefer using a brush to apply this as its much faster and doesn’t go patchy, I normally apply any bronzers with a No.7 powder brush, when using this bronzer with that brush I get the exact look I want, natural but noticeable. It also contains a really good quality mirror which is perfect if you are applying your makeup on the go, it isn’t often that you’ll find a mirror in a small powder product like this so I was pleasantly surprised.

As for the bronzer powder itself, I love it. Its very smooth and light-weight so applies perfectly. I love the look that this gives off as it looks very natural, however, it is also very buildable so if you want something more you can apply some more of the product. With this, a little goes a long way. All I have to do is dab my brush in to the powder once and it picks up the perfect amount of product to cover a certain area.

The packaging of this product is really different to any I have seen. I love that they used a summer theme as you become more bronzed in summer (even though I’ll be using this all year round). The colourful packaging also makes it stand out from all of the others.

Overall, I have been loving this product so much and recommend it to everyone. Its definitely worth the price and its very affordable.
