Review: PIXI Eyeshadow + Glow

I was recently sent the biggest PR parcel that I have ever received in my 3 years of blogging which was from PIXI! They sent their collaborations with Weylie Hoang, Dulcee Candy and Chloe Morello which I am so grateful for and the PR team were so lovely so thank you so much to PIXI. Since receiving them, I have already gotten so much use out of the Let’s Talk Eyes and the Sweet Glow palettes so thought I’d share my opinions on them in this post.

Firstly, when you purchase the Let’s Talk Eyes palette, it comes in the Dimensional Eye Creator set so it comes with a double ended eye liner, one side contains a liquid liner and the other a kohl, this set comes to £22 and you can find it here. The palette comes with 6 different shades, 3 of them are matte and the other 3 shimmers. Personally, I find that the mattes all go really well together and they are so easy to create a look out of! The mattes all have incredible pigmentation and very little fallout which I was very impressed with. When creating a look with these matte shades, I feel that it is missing a base shade so I tend to take a neutral shade from another palette just so it brings it together better. The shimmers are also just as pigmented and work best when applied with your finger over a brush as this picks up the most shimmer. The shade ‘Gurl!’ is a great shade to use as a brow bone or inner corner highlight and the shade ‘Beautis’ works really well blended in to the outer corner to add some dimension. I find that the shade ‘Itty Bitty’ is slightly harder to pair with the other shades in this palette because of its pink tones but I will 100% be reaching for this when doing pink eye shadow looks. Overall, I’m amazed by this palette and it is my new favourite that I reach for on a daily basis. It is definitely worth the money and I can’t wait to continue using it.

The Sweet Glow palette has also really impressed me, it costs £28 and you can find it here. At first glance, I assumed this was just an eye shadow palette, but I was wrong. You can use this palette for eye shadow and highlighter! So far I have only tested the top and bottom rows as I don’t often wear pink eye shadow but I have swatched them all and wow, they are so pigmented. The top shades ‘Brillante’, ‘Dulce’ and ‘Caramelo’ are definitely my favourites because they are so easy to pair with any look. I love how versatile the palette is but you wouldn’t be able to create a full look with this palette unless you are just using shimmers which means that it may not be the easiest to travel with as you would have to take separate matte shades. I can definitely see myself getting so much usage out of this palette and am excited to further experiment with all of the shades because they are so gorgeous.

PIXI multi use

Overall, both palettes are amazing and I couldn’t recommend them enough. Although they are more on the pricey side, they are so worth it as are most PIXI products! PIXI are also 100% cruelty free which is an added bonus.

Thank you so much to the team at PIXI for sending me these products to try out. I can’t wait to review the other products I also got sent.

Although I got sent these products, all opinions are my own and I was not obliged to do this post.

Thanks so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed! If you’d like to follow me on Instagram or Twitter you can find me at @bethxkate.
