It’s not very often that I do posts like these which don’t include reviews, advice or photography but personally, I enjoy writing and reading these so thought that I would do another one since it has been months since my last!
Firstly, we are now in Autumn, which is my favourite month ever. I’m obsessed with all of the fashion, buying loads of comfy pyjamas, watching the leaves fall off the trees and drinking hot chocolate. I’m really looking forward to the October half term as I’m desperate for a break from school as I feel like I’m falling behind at the moment because I have so much going on. Also, a lot of my friends have their 18th birthdays this month which is really exciting and I can’t wait to celebrate with them… however, it is a very expensive month haha!
If you follow me on Twitter, then you will already know this, but if you don’t then you wont know that in September I got a new job! I had been applying for jobs since July and it felt like a never ending process but I am so pleased that I have finally found one, I have already done a lot of shifts and so far it is going really well, however, this is one of the reasons that I have been slacking a bit on my blog and finding it harder to get school work done so I’m still trying to get back to grips of trying to manage everything.
Also in September, I joined a new gym, ever since my summer holiday, I had been feeling really unmotivated with working out and having a better lifestyle so I have finally started gaining back my motivation which I’m pleased with.
Me and a group of my friends (there’s 9 of us total) have also booked a sixth form holiday to Menorca in 2019 after our exams have finished, I’m so excited to start buying new clothes and can’t wait to (hopefully) get a good tan for my sixth form prom!! This has also given me a lot more motivation to be healthier as I want to be able to feel comfortable in what I wear (which I haven’t done for a long time).
This year for my photography project, I have chosen the theme ‘fashion photography’ which is quite broad, but so far, I’m loving it. I have currently done 2 photo shoots with my friends and am so pleased with how they have turned out, I can’t wait to do some more very soon and go on to the editing process. Unfortunately, a lot of the photography course this year revolves around the written work which is usually the part that I find the most boring but I’m pushing through and trying to get it all done!
University applications feel like they are coming around so fast, I almost don’t feel ready… it scares me a lot to know that people in my year have already started applying and someone has already been offered a place!!! So far, I have written my personal statement and have had a few teachers give me their feedback which has been useful but I still don’t feel like its good enough, if anyone has any advice then please let me know in the comments or message me. I’m getting to the stage where I am worried that I haven’t been to enough open days but now its getting too late and the ones I wanted to see have already gone so am struggling to pick 5 choices of places that I want to apply to but we will just have to see where the future takes me.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post as I always like to read them to get updates on other peoples lives. If you’d like to follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you can find me at @bethxkate.
