Autumn is my favourite time of year for so many reasons, from the falling, crunchy leaves to the Berry toned lipsticks. In this post, I thought that I’d share with you some of my other favourite things about Autumn as I love reading posts like these!
Number 1: Spending good quality time with friends.
Of course, this can be done all year long but in the Spring and Summer months, I often don’t spend as much time as I would like with my friends because of school stress and all of the exams which take place. In Autumn, there are also quite a lot of things you can do, an example of this would be carving pumpkins together for Halloween, I did this with a few of my friends this year and really enjoyed it, it was very reminiscent and although, I don’t have the best carving skills, its still fun.
I was actually so pleased with how my pumpkin turned out, I used an image off’ Pinterest as my inspiration and carved Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc as this was one of my favourite films as a kid.
Number 2: Photography
Within the Autumn months, when the leaves are starting to change colours, they look absolutely gorgeous in photos so I like to take the opportunity to go out and take photos in the nature. I also love taking photos of pumpkins and Halloween decorations/lights.
Number 3: Hot Chocolate
There’s nothing better than snuggling up with a hot chocolate at the end of a long, cold day. It also it lovely to have one late at night or before bed and I find they really help me get to sleep.
Number 4: The Apprentice comes back on the TV
I’m not sure if its just me but I get excited every time that The Apprentice comes back on, this could be because of how interested I am in business and seeing how they manage all of the tasks as marketing is something that I want to peruse in the future and study at university.
Number 5: Half term
I always look forward to the half term at the end of October (I’m aware its a week earlier in England) because its nice to have a weeks break from school to catch up and see my friends. This year, I will be very busy working but its still nice to have some time away from education for a little while as it can become very overwhelming sometimes.
Number 6: Halloween
I never used to like Halloween as I would never do anything but I’ve come to appreciate the decorations, carving pumpkins and this year I have actually got plans which I’m excited for. I’m looking forward to dressing up and experimenting with makeup which may be more out of my comfort zone.
Number 7: Lighting Candles
When September and October come around, I always have to get out my candles as this is the main time of year that I have cozy evenings watching Netflix, wrapped in a blanket and having my candles lit (basically my perfect evening).
Let me know in the comments if you also love any of these things!
