Easy Autumnal Eye Shadow Look

Autumn is definitely my favourite time of the year for eye shadow as all of the darker colours start coming out again! I love hazelnut, orangey and gold shades and use them all throughout the Autumn season. This year I’m hoping to experiment more with darker shades, especially around Halloween time so look out for some future looks. Today I have decided to share with you an Autumnal eye shadow look as it is almost Autumn (the best season) so I thought I’d give you some ideas ready.

The only 2 palettes used for this look at the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and the Morphe 35O. Both of these palettes are amazing and the shades are very fitting for the season. The Too Faced palette definitely has better pigmentation, however, the Morphe palette has such a large range of different shades which I love. The Morphe palette is £22.50 from Beauty Bay and the Too Faced Chocolate palette is £39 from Debenhams. This particular Morphe palette is very difficult to get your hands on so if you want it for Autumn, I recommend ordering it now from Beauty Bay as it is currently in stock.

The best way to start off eye shadow is with an eye-lid primer, my favourite is the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion as this creates a very smooth base and adds a little bit of coverage to your lids to stop your veins from showing.

I then take a light brown from the Morphe palette and run this through my crease on a large fluffy brush, I tend to pick up quite a lot of product so that it has good pigmentation. After applying this shadow to my crease, I take a darker brown-ish orange on the outer edge of my eye lid to darken the look.

After this, I take the shade Salted Caramel from the Too Faced palette and apply this all over my lid and blend it out. This shade is one of my favourites and I use it all the time in Autumn and Winter, last year, I even used it on Christmas day! The pigmentation of all shades in this palette is great so you only need a tiny bit of product.

I then take a dark brown-ish red from the Morphe palette and also add this in to the crease then blend it out. This is my favourite part as it really finishes off the look as it adds much more depth to the outer corner and makes the look stand out so much more.

If you did want to add a little extra to this look, a gold shimmer would look amazing. From these 2 palettes I’d either go with Créme Brulee (Too Faced) or the gold glitter shade (Morphe). However, I often opt towards a matte look as this is what I prefer.

Overall, this look is very easy and quick. It is perfect for when you are in a rush but also want to look like you have made an effort. The shades do have a little bit of fall out so I would make sure to do the eye shadow before any base makeup. You definitely don’t need both of these palettes to create this look, I only opt to use the Chocolate Bar as an extra because of how much I love the shade Salted Caramel. The Morphe palette alone is definitely enough as you get 35 shades so you can go crazy with different looks, I would recommend this palette to anyone as its so affordable for such good shadows.
